Students from the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, have been nominated for the Future Pioneers contest’s most promising maritime innovation by students award. The Rotterdam University students wrote a research paper on how to use waste heat for generating electricity. The research was done in collaboration with Green Turbine.
The award ceremony and a presentation of the nominated paper will take place during the Advanced Technology Conference (ATC) , on Friday November 8 2013, the closing day of Europort 2013. At the ATC , leading national and international players will present their innovative showcases about advanced technology which are used to build the world’s most sophisticated ships.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for 11o’çlock that morning, a summary of the paper: will be presented in English from about 14.55 to 15.15. Please check your schedule at the fair for possible changes in the program if you are interested in attending. The event is part of the program “Future Pioneers” organized by Maritime by Holland in collaboration with Ahoy Rotterdam. Both events are free of charge for visitors of Europort 2013.
